The Golden Lion is one of Stirling's Largest and Historic Banqueting & Conference Venues catering for up to 400 persons with many Weekend Celebratory Events until 01.00am most weekends. A marble staircase, with Burns artwork and quotations, provides a backdrop for photographs, as does Stirling Castle, the King's Knot gardens, and Stirling University. There are six function rooms, ranging from interview rooms for two people to conference suites accommodating 250 delegates with break-out rooms.
Location and access
The Golden Lion Hotel is 50 km from Edinburgh, at the heart of Scotland. The hotel has free, secure parking at the rear via Murray Place. The 'New' Port Gate's location is marked outside the hotel on King Street. Taxis are available adjacent to the hotel. It opened in 1786.
