the reception staff were cute! the hotel was clean and tidy throughout. it had a great location near a music festival i attended. the car parking space was ample, this was so helpful.
my room was slightly warm. i would have liked air conditioning.

the setting is wonderful! the hotel has well-kept grounds. it is also near plenty of places you can walk right from the doorstep, including dog walking paths, this was really useful.

Impressed with the Refurbishments and Amenities
onsite parking equipped gym spa facilities great breakfast
I found parking conveniently onsite. The gym was well-equipped. I appreciated the swimming pool and spa facilities. These included a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. Breakfast was great and offered very good value. It exceeded my expectations.
The heating system had a minor issue , but staff addressed it quickly.

no air conditioning closed spa reception
the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels.
There was no air conditioning in the room (i'm very sensitive to temperature changes). luckily, i had my own fan. i asked reception about the spa, and they told me to ask reception at the spa. i went there to find a notice that the spa reception was closed. I should ask back at the hotel reception.

The staff was helpful and pleasant. I found the pool area a good size. The sauna and jacuzzi were also a plus. The onsite parking was also convenient.
The room felt dated. The corridors have fire doors, and these doors slammed shut at night. I found it difficult to sleep with the noise.

fantastic stay!
modern equipment friendly atmosphere excellent breakfast nearby walks
the restaurant manager chris displayed superb engagement with everyone he was friendly. i found the gym to have excellent modern equipment all in working order. the pool and sauna were great after a long day i also loved the dog friendly atmosphere with lots of walks nearby. the all you can eat breakfast was a great way to start the day.
the steam room was a bit too hot for my liking though i still enjoyed the leisure facilities overall.

The car parking area is huge and free, a bonus. i found the receptionist very helpful with all my queries. the room was spacious, bright, and clean with well-placed plug points. i liked the good-sized bathroom. It came with lovely complimentary toiletries.
i noticed that the road into the hotel premises has several potholes, which could use some attention. i hope they fix this soon for smoother access.
