Location and Transportation
The Edward Hotel is 10 km from Gloucestershire, a 10-minute walk to Gloucester city centre and under ten minutes to the home of great rugby. The hotel is near Gloucester Business Park, Barnwood, GCHQ, Imjin Barracks, Eastern Avenue, Gloucester Quays, Olympus Business Park, and Gloucestershire University Oxstalls campus. These sites are accessible by bus services every 5-10 minutes from a stop a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel backs onto Gloucester Royal Hospital and is served by a bus to Cheltenham General Hospital. Hillfield Gardens is to the North of the hotel in London Rd and has a C13th chantry, and two stone conduits which used to sit in the medieval city centre. Gloucestershire Archives is five minutes' walk. The bus and train stations are a 10-minute walk. Bus routes No 94 and No10 stop outside the University of Gloucestershire. The hotel is located on the No 94 and No10 bus routes from the centre. To access the car park, turn from London Road into Hyde Lane.
