The Bistro serves dishes with ingredients explained by the knowledgeable waiting staff. The menu includes dishes to savor, with fresh, seasonal ingredients. There is also a Bistro du Vin to experience in a private dining room. The French brasserie-style dining room has terracotta and sage-green walls, side-booths framed by wool curtains, and brass table lamps. The Bistro offers a menu of modern European cuisine, using local cheeses, seafood, and meat from a family farm. Two menus are offered: à la carte with French dishes, such as steak tartare, sole meunière, and duck cassoulet. There is also a comprehensive wine list.
Leisure at Hotel
The bar at Hotel du Vin York has nooks and crannies. There is also a courtyard dining area with a retractable roof. The hotel offers spaces for meetings, team building, and networking. Ruinart meeting room accommodates up to 30 people and retains original features such as a fireplace and Georgian windows. The Ouse meeting room features floor-to-ceiling Georgian windows, a deep red wall, and a mural.
