“The refurbishment here clearly sought to recapture an earlier grandeur, and it seems to have largely succeeded, especially in the bar and dining areas. The location makes it ideal for golfers, given the proximity to Royal Dornoch. I think it's the attentive staff, though, that could truly elevate a stay here.”

Powered by AI
Dornoch Station, renovated with a tasteful Scottish style, offers guests beautifully decorated, spacious rooms, some boasting lovely sea views overlooking the golf course and the Dornoch Firth. Guests often appreciate the comfy sofas and open fires, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The breakfast is generally considered excellent, and the hotel is beautifully decorated, especially during the Christmas season, which is suitable for photographs; however, some guests have noted that the beds could be small for two people.

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. my room had luxury toiletries and a nespresso machine. I found these amenities very useful.
The hotel seemed short-staffed, and there was a shambolic feeling. the bath panel in my room was not properly fixed. Lights fused.

the location was acceptable.
I found the room quite dark. An area to style hair was absent. the windows were kept open, possibly to address a smell, though i am unsure if that was the reason. there was also a step in the bath to access the shower, which i hadn't expected after the refurb.

the decor was like a warm embrace, it wrap me in its tender beauty. i felt the rooms holds a story in every corner, whispering secrets of elegance and charm. the staff were very friendly, they are like gentle guides through this haven of peace.
the room felt a bit small, like a locket not quite big enough to hold all my dreams. the cleanliness seemed amiss, a spot on the mirror blurred the reflection of perfection. i found the wine glasses were not clean, a blemish on the otherwise flawless evening.
