Hartsfield Manor is often chosen for enjoyable stays while exploring the Surrey Hills. Many guests appreciate the hotel's setting amidst beautiful grounds, sometimes spotting deer from their room windows. The restaurant is generally considered very good and well-priced, and the hotel is conveniently located between Dorking and Reigate. However, some guests have found the lack of a lift to certain junior suites inconvenient.

a little underwhelming tbh

stuffy hallwaybird droppings
The annex room really wasn't all that GREAT. the hallway seemed like a greenhouse. also, the garden furniture needed a serious scrub as it was covered in webs and bird droppings. It felt pretty unhygienic. the cleaner only added towels and hoovered and didn't really fix the problem.

the room was large and spacious on the second floor. it was wonderfully quiet. i was very impressed by the giant chess board outside, the kings and queens were set up the right way around. it is very rare.
the bar service was slow upon arrival. i waited for 15 minutes as nobody was serving. i had to politely ask reception if it was okay to get a drink at the bar. someone arrived but they weren't apologetic for the delay.
