the courtyard room was lovely and included a little kitchenette. it featured a microwave, air fryer, and fridge, which i found convenient. the pool was warm, i used it every day after i came back from sightseeing. victoria at reception provided great customer service.

the hotel has an area of excellent natural beauty, this is certainly well deserved. the grounds are cared for with a golf course. plenty of car park spaces are available. there is an ev charging facility.

The room I had was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated that I was able to check in early upon arrival. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating throughout my stay (very helpful with directions).

There was a service charge of 12.5 % on the bar drinks, a detail not clearly displayed. I found this service charge applied to already expensive drinks. It is supposedly discretionary, but it is not very optional.
