The staff were friendly and helpful. they responded quickly to my queries. my room was quiet. breakfast was really good. It was certainly the best i have had for many years.

The room became rather chilly. heater controls were difficult to understand. There was no advice given in the room information.

The breakfast was really good with a plentiful selection (I especially liked the Lorne Sausage). The room was clean, warm, and spacious. The en-suite bathroom was also very clean and well-kept. I found on-site free parking very convenient, always a plus when travelling.

The building is old, and some communal areas felt cold unless you were near the fire, especially during the winter months.

My wife and I stayed here several times now. We found the staff consistently cute and helpful. We could relax and enjoy the quiet atmosphere in the lounge. I had a good sized, clean room plus really good breakfast and lunch. The bar was open until 10pm.

I found the parking difficult. I had to wait a bit for a space.
