Superior Upper Floors Sea View Rooms are located on floors 6-8, facing south or southwest. Junior Suites, mostly located on floors 3-6, feature queen-size beds and a balcony overlooking Funchal Bay. Executive Suites on floors 5-8 include a desk with a mirror, two armchairs, and a veranda. The Peninsula Suite on the 9th floor includes a bedroom, living room, dining room, two bathrooms, luggage room, and large balconies, with views of the sea and Funchal Bay. The Atlantic Suite offers modern decor and views of the sea and Funchal Bay, including twin beds, a living room, and a balcony. Family Rooms are located on the 2nd floor with southwest-facing views and two king beds. Family Rooms with Funchal Bay Views are located on floors 2-3, featuring a balcony overlooking the city and harbor.
Dining Options
The Cliff Bay features three restaurants. Il Gallo d'Oro, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, offers Mediterranean and Iberian cuisine. Chef Benoît Sinthon uses local produce combined with international ingredients. A smart casual dress code is required. The Arsenal restaurant offers a breakfast buffet and a set menu for dinner, based on international cuisine. The Horta restaurant introduces the concept of Healthy Comfort Food. The restaurant has a breakfast buffet with home-made specialities. The hotel also has a 24-hour room service menu. Avista Ásia, located at Les Suites at The Cliff Bay, offers Asian cuisine combined with local Madeira produce by Chef Rui Pinto. Guests can enjoy afternoon tea with scones, mini-sandwiches, and pastries. The Blue Lagoon restaurant offers a special dinner menu on the terrace with a sea view during summer nights.
