The location was excellent. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great. I was very happy with the freshly cooked food.
The shower area had mould. The shower head also had mould. The room was quite tired and it could use a refresh.

constant noiseunkept garden
I wasn't thrilled with my room. it faced a busy road, so noise was a constant companion (earplugs might be a wise investment). also, the garden looked a bit neglected. It could really use some tlc. it had potential but was sadly unkept.

i was given a river facing room, and i was so happy! the room (no. 5) was beautiful and spotlessly clean. i found it nicely furnished with plenty of room, and the bed was comfortable. breakfast included lots of choice and the staff were very nice, receptive to guest needs.
i felt disappointed. the room smelled of a dog. i don't know if it was a pet friendly room. the curtains were hanging off the rail, and there was no net curtain, so privacy was impeded.

the hotel features ample parking on the premises, with an additional public car park conveniently situated a short distance down the road. rooms are nicely decorated and equipped. i noticed everything was meticulously maintained.

breakfast was amazing!!! it included a tasty cooked breakfast and a continental-style breakfast buffet. i was thrilled. the service for the cooked breakfast was also decently fast, especially considering many guests arrived at opening.

The breakfast was very good, especially the sausages. I also liked the mountain of scrambled egg i saw with the full english and super black pudding.
Our room was in the coach house next to the main building. the window did not fit properly and was poorly repaired SO the room didn't really warm up and i saw a lot of condensation on the windows.

the breakfast included delicious sausages. i also enjoyed a mountain of scrambled eggs with the full english breakfast. a microwave was available for heating frozen meals in the evening.
the room i had was smaller than i thought. the images online appear fancier than reality. the building seems older than it looks on the website but this was no problem.
