“Castle Hotel is what I would call an authentic Welsh experience, from the warm welcome to the home-cooked breakfast that caters even to vegetarians and vegans; the central Aberaeron location makes exploring the coast simple. average stay with some drawbacks

patchy paintpoor housekeeping
the room felt really cold when i arrived and the bathroom was even colder i noticed patchy paint on the walls it looked unfinished the bathroom blinds were dusty with cobwebs the shower ceiling had some damp marks housekeeping seemed poor i could also hear a lot of noise from the road

The room had super clean presentation. the beds offer crisps white linen. I found this very excellent. the shower offered good pressure, this was a nice touch. i would like stay there again.
first floor rooms may experience noise because of its location above the bar.

charming stay with harbor views

the room was bright and clean. the bed was very comfortable, perfect for a good night's sleep after exploring the town. i enjoyed a nice walk by the harbor and found many interesting shops nearby. a pint at the downstairs bar was a great way to unwind (i especially liked the local ales).
street parking was time-limited and required some searching.

the standard double room included lovely fluffy towels and the decor seemed new. the room was clean and well-equipped for my short stay. the ensuite bathroom was functional.
