Nice stay near the coast

top notch linenrelaxed atmosphereemergency light
I found the room clean. Top notch linen was provided. The location is convenient to the beach and coastal paths. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. The full English breakfast included good options and nice orange juice.
There was no hot water in the shower on one occasion. The heating switched off. The room became quite cold at night and emergency light near the bed made it impossible to have TOTAL darkness.
Dining
9/10
The restaurant features a bar and a lovely atmosphere. Cocktails are available. I found food and wine to be delicious, the restaurant provides a pleasant setting by the fire. The restaurant staff offered attentive service.

Really good Stay in Dorset

attentive staffspacious roomluxury retreatgreen glow
The staff was attentive, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The bed was super comfy. It included robes, a Nespresso coffee machine and a Dyson hairdryer. The location is in the heart of the area. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast i have ever had. The price reflects the room, service and food. It's worth every penny.
The green glow from the fire alarm made the room bright all night. This ruined my sleep. There was also no hot water the following morning. I had to take a cold shower. Sadly, i would not return due to this light issue. I like to sleep in the dark. That's a shame because the room was nice.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast included an ala carte menu. This allows you to select what you want to eat individually. The food tasted very good. a slightly larger portion would have made it excellent. Staff provided friendly service during the morning.
Rooms
9/10
The king room had quality finishing touches. It had a comfortable bed and lovely bedding. The room provided generous tea, coffee, and water. These amenities were well stocked. The quirky rooms were very clean and accessible on foot.
Facilities
10/10
Draughts and dominoes are available in the bar, AS are playing cards and uno. A dog bed, towels, and a portion of dog food are catered for dogs. This is a great touch to help those bringing canine companions.
Location
10/10
The location was GREAT right by the sea! though the parking was expensive. The setting is pleasant, very close to the beach. It's perfect for an overnight stay. It offers a glimpse of the beach through the window.

The Sunday Chicken Roast was not good. The chicken included one grey drumstick and a tiny grey breast. The roast potatoes tasted powdery and dry, and the vegetables were wet, it was such an underwhelming experience! Mustard came in sachets, like in a cafe, I was so frustrated. The staff showed a casual attitude and did not offer a refund, that's all I wanted.
