Excellent Hotel Experience!

friendly staffdelicious breakfasteasy locationclean room
The staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful throughout my time there. The breakfast I ate was delicious and got my days off to a great start. The location worked well. It made getting around very easy. The room was clean and had crisp linen. I slept well.
My room was a bit small and didn't have much ventilation. Though it was a minor issue, it affected my overall comfort slightly. I hope they can improve the ventilation in smaller rooms.
Rooms

The room included a comfortable bed and adequate space for luggage. It also featured a teapot with cups. The shower had amazing water pressure and provided ample hot water throughout my stay. A nice teapot and cups were available.

My room was tiny. there was visible mold in the shower. I could see it on the silicone. the tv did not work correctly either. the wardrobe door was practically falling off its hinges. It was shabby.

A Good Stay at Heart of Islay

amazing staffwarm welcomesuper clean roomlimited menu
The staff was amazing. The manager, Megan, gave a warm welcome. Fay made sure rooms were spotlessly clean, and the front of house staff were great. I appreciated they had local knowledge.
The hotel restaurant no longer offers oysters on their dinner menu. I found this disappointing for a seafood lover like me. The menu should include a broader selection.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel has a bus stop directly outside. A convenience shop sits across the road, it offers basic needs. There is a garden where you can relax with drinks.
Rooms
9/10
The room had a very large, comfortable bed. It was spotlessly clean thanks to Fay's work. The room offered a very relaxing atmosphere with good amenities.
Location
9/10
The location is perfect to travel around the island. The bus stop is right outside the front door which is convenient. It is easy to visit different parts of the island.

the food was really very good. i really liked the location because it was central to everything on the island. the staff was friendly and helpful, that was really nice.
the chair in the room had a terrible stain. the room was a bit tired and could use a serious update. i don't understand why its so overpriced too.
