Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Bridge House Hotel is conveniently located right on the high street, offering easy access to Bridport's pubs and shops, and it's also within walking distance of the beach, though a bus is available for those who prefer not to walk. Guests often enjoy the excellent breakfast and the charm of the tastefully decorated Georgian house. The Garden Potting Shed Bar & Kitchen is a popular spot, though some guests have noted that it can get crowded. The hotel provides comfortable rooms, and some have found the on-site parking somewhat cramped.

Acceptable Stay , Some Disappointments

uncomfortable bed soggy bun
I found the bed uncomfortable ,and this impacted my sleep. I mentioned it to a member of staff , who apologised but did not offer to change the mattress or an alternative room. The dirty burger left a lot to be desired , the bottom of the bun was soggy , and I could not pick it up.

local produce breakfast room ironing facilities heavy suitcase
the breakfast had amazing local produce.. well cooked and lovely. the breakfast room itself was quite beautiful. the location works so well, close to the town center yet a bit away from any bustle.
the ironing facilities were less than ideal. i needed to iron a shirt for a business meeting the next day, but i had some trouble. i also noticed no lift.. i might have struggled with a heavy suitcase.

The location was convenient, close to everything I needed.
The room smelled strongly of dampness. The shower pressure was also weak. It was barely a trickle. This, not refreshing at all, honestly.
