The location was great. It was a quick walk to a large tesco next door. the building had a nice design, complemented by an excellent outdoor area with benches. inside, i found the bar and restaurant appealing, alongside the friendly staff. the cleanliness added to the overall positive experience.
my room was somewhat basic, though it did warm up eventually. i found that the exit from the car park malfunctioned. i needed to return to reception for assistance.

The staff were polite. The location was GREAT.
The room was very hot at night. There was no air-conditioning so I was forced to open the windows. I heard ALL the traffic outside from the main road. It was not ideal, and the noise continued until 3am.

i find the fridge in the room quite useful, it had fresh milk for my tea. the room was also warm, a good thing in this season. the hotel stands near the train station and it allows walking to the town center.
i think that my room stood above the kitchen. i did hear a door slamming often while the kitchen operated. it was a little annoying.

the staff was lovely and attentive. the building had interesting history. breakfast was good and i liked choosing my eating time. the snug room worked very well for me, but a bigger bed requires a bigger room.
the room smelled a little, an air freshener would have helped. also there was no bottled water in THE room.
