4-star secluded countryside retreat with an outdoor heated pool

Location

Beechfield House is nestled within eight acres of landscaped grounds in Wiltshire, 30 minutes from Bath and the Cotswolds. This hotel is inspired by the 16th Century Italian Renaissance and offers serene outdoor spaces for guests to explore. Visitors can access picturesque local attractions such as Longleat Safari Park and the historic village of Lacock.

Rooms

The hotel comprises 24 rooms, each uniquely named after trees from the grounds, providing calming views of the landscaped gardens. Varying room types include the Fabulous Bedrooms with four-poster beds and the Snug Luxury Bedrooms that feature classic design elements. Many rooms include super king-size beds, high ceilings, and pure Egyptian cotton linens for a restful stay.

Outdoor Heated Pool

A standout feature of Beechfield House is the 40ft outdoor heated pool, available from April to October. Enclosed by a walled garden, the pool offers a tranquil setting for guests to swim or relax poolside. Sun loungers provide a comfortable space to enjoy the weather with drinks and light bites from the terrace.

Dining

The hotel's dining options highlight seasonal flavors and local produce, featured prominently in the menus. Guests can enjoy meals in one of four distinct dining areas or on the terrace surrounded by nature. The on-site restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for its commitment to quality cuisine.

Family & Pet-Friendly Amenities

Beechfield House welcomes families with interconnecting bedrooms and spaces for children to explore in the gardens. The hotel is also dog-friendly, allowing four-legged guests to enjoy the expansive grounds and nearby countryside walks. Families can take advantage of packages that cater to both kids and pets for a hassle-free experience.

I booked a room at this hotel for a quick getaway. I was traveling to another place the next day. the artwork around the hotel added a nice touch. It. i liked that the staff were friendly. They were very helpful and always available.
The bar closed early, i would have liked it to stay open longer! i wanted to relax in the evening. there was also a service charge on the bar bill, though i was a hotel resident. I think this should be optional.

The dog treat included in the room was a kind touch. i liked the dog bed that they provided, it was soft. the grounds were beautiful. I took many photos. the poolside area was quite inviting.
The room was warm, even though it wasn't that hot outside. the small windows offered poor ventilation. I struggled to sleep well.

Decent stay with a few hiccups

spacious roompool area viewquality linenquality robehot waterrude receptionistpoor customer serviceinadequate fan
The room was quite spacious and overlooked the pool area. Linens, towels, and robes provided were of EXCELLENT quality. Hot water and heating worked very well.
The receptionist seemed rude upon check-in. Customer service seemed like an effort. The room included just one fan for a family, not ideal.
