serene getaway
lovely staff english breakfast
The staff was really lovely. the location was great and was only an 8-10 minute drive to the city center or a 25-30 minute walk. i enjoyed the walk. It was mostly a straight path. the full english breakfast was delicious and had a nice selection of fruits and pastries.
Our room had no windows in the main area. This was inconvenient. there was no handle on the front door, made closing it difficult, and we could not hang our do not disturb sign. the lighting options were not ideal, either too dark or too bright.

the hotel offered convenient on-site parking, a real plus in the area. also, the hotel provided an honesty bar, a comfy lounge, and the opportunity to relax and unwind at any time.

Our beautiful king room included a fridge with still and sparkling water plus canned drinks. we also found welcome sweets and biscuits. It was a really nice touch. the bed was comfortable.

the restaurant and breakfast meals were superb. the hotel presented excellently prepared and presented top-quality breakfast. i tried room-service sandwiches, and everything was beautifully prepared. even the smaller details, such as scrambled eggs, were excellent.

mixed feelings about the stay
lack of lift poor cleaning
the breakfast was delicious. the staff were amazing, very friendly, polite, and professional.
i had higher expectations for this place. there wasn't a lift, so i had to carry my bags. cleaning ladies said they would return to clean our room, but they didn't come back until i asked. it seemed they didn't want to clean my room.

spacious room super clean room prosecco bottle missing wardrobe poor lighting limited storage
my room was spacious and super clean. i also had a complementary bottle of prosecco. it was perfect to celebrate my short stay. the room included a fridge filled with soft drinks and water.
my room lacked a proper wardrobe. this made it difficult to store clothes. the lighting options were also poor with either too dark or too bright settings. i found it difficult to relax comfortably in the room.

excellent breakfast friendly staff complimentary drinks
Breakfast was so excellent. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The room was large with many complimentary items like tea, coffee, water and even cans of fizzy drinks with sweets. I joined breakfast and the staff were happy to see me, they were chatty and polite. They served some very nice food.
The hotel had no elevator.

We loved our bedroom and bathroom. The hotel had parking available, important to us.
I found hair and a bobby pin. It just wasn't what i expected from a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is approximately 2.9 kilometers from the city center, which is about a 30-35 minute walk. A taxi or Uber ride will take roughly 5-10 minutes and cost around £7-£8. While there are some cafes and restaurants nearby, most shopping options can be found in the city center. If traveling with my child, can I book a junior suite and request an extra bed?
