Guests consistently praise the spacious and spotless rooms, some featuring outdoor seating by the river. The hotel's quiet location, just a few minutes from a beautiful loch, is also a highlight for many. The breakfast is often described as gorgeous, and some have found the dinner phenomenal, while a few guests have noted issues with the dinner menu being too 'fine dining' for their taste. Comfortable guest lounges and the surrounding woodland add to the overall appeal.

a tranquil escape by the loch

pleasant staffovernight bike storageatmospheric woodlandgood evening meal
i found the staff pleasant, always ready with a smile and helpful attitude. they even looked after our bikes overnight, a great help for our cycling trip. i especially appreciated the access to the loch, it allowed for a relaxing walk in the atmospheric woodland. the evening meal was surprisingly good for such a low price, a real treat after a long day.
i noticed there were no fresh towels unless requested, i did not know to hang them up to dry. it's a small detail, but knowing it beforehand would have been useful.
