sleep mask sleepless night

the light seeped into the capsule from the sides of the curtain. i like a dark sleeping environment. a sleep mask was not provided it affected my sleep, and i felt tired the following day.

charmed capsule experience

The capsule size was quite good. showers were great. I especially liked how private they were. i also received a bundle of slippers and other useful items upon my arrival, a nice touch (and quite handy!). self check-in was fairly straightforward.

Soundproofing wasn't great. I could hear other tourists snoring in the room. it wasn't a dealbreaker, but earplugs are definitely recommended for a better night's sleep. i also found the single vending machine a bit limiting.

The hotel has everything one expects from a capsule hotel. i especially liked the private showers. They were super spacious. lockers on each floor allowed me to fit my check-in luggage and carry-on bags.

Beds were very clean and fresh. Several plug ins made it easy to charge all devices. every day, clean towels, pajamas, and sheets were provided. soaps, shampoos, and toothbrushes were also included, a pleasant surprise.

The location was convenient, being very close to the metro station, it. various convenience stores and shopping centers are nearby. This added to the experience. the provided lockers were massive, and easily fit my suitcase and backpack. the showers impressed me, they were some of the best i experienced during my accommodations in japan.

there was little soundproofing, so it was stressful trying to stay quiet to not disturb other guests.

Adequate Capsule Hotel, but Some Issues

strong smell limited isolation

The smell of grilled food was strong inside the capsule. Staff told me a restaurant nearby caused this problem because of the ventilation. The smell did disappear after midnight when the kitchen closed, but my hair and clothes absorbed it. the capsules have limited sound isolation. I could hear other guests, which impacted my sleep.

The pods were clean and quite comfortable. The location is great with subway access nearby. I found the self check-in and check-out process easy.

The floor seemed to have a stuffy feel. The provided mattress felt hard to me. The toilet and shower are located on a different floor.

Balanced capsule stay

The hotel's location is very convenient. It is quite close to a metro station, easing city travel at all hours. Many convenience stores and cafes are also nearby (a definite plus).

There is no sound insulation in the capsules. Sleeping was difficult because of this. The air in the sleeping room smelled stale, as there are no windows.
