About the Hotel

The Garden Suite, the largest room, is on the ground floor, offering two bathrooms and a private garden. The Cosy Attic rooms are located in the eaves of the building and have fitted bathtubs with handheld showers. Guests can request a double or twin room when booking, based on availability. The showstopper suite includes a lounge area and a private terrace.
Dining at William Cecil
The William Cecil's restaurant, with a conservatory and outdoor terrace, serves food using local ingredients. The hotel has a bistro called Mildred's with a weekly changing menu and Sunday roasts. A team of chefs prepares seasonal food. A wine list offers a range of 'bin end' and 'speciality' wines. The restaurant is open for lunch, afternoon tea, Saturday dinner, and evening cocktails. Dishes are suited to compliment a cocktail or glass of wine.
Events and Meetings
The William Cecil provides three meeting rooms for 10 to 120 delegates, equipped with wireless internet, integrated audio technology, and natural light. The Bennet room is a small function room suited for private dining and small conferences. The Events Team can offer a personalised service. The hotel can be used in a number of different ways whether it's outdoors in our garden pavilion, indoors in our Burghley or Exeter suites, the modern marquee tucked away in our garden, or exclusive use to include Milly's Bistro.
