a lovely stay!

attentive staff smooth check-in lovely wine helpful service

the staff was cute and helpful throughout my visit. the check-in process was quick and smooth. i found a lovely bottle of wine waiting for me in the room. i also really appreciated how attentive everyone was.

excellent location attentive staff welcome drink late check-in clunky situation wasted time

the location is excellent. it is a ten minute walk from waverley station. the staff were all excellent. they are great. i received a nice welcome drink on arrival.

the check-in is at 3pm. i had to wait until 6pm because another guest was using their late departure privilege. i was given free drink vouchers as an apology. the situation was clunky and wasted time.

mixed feelings about the stay

limited minibar slow room service

the location was indeed convenient to the train station.

The minibar was quite bare. Only water was available. ordering room service was a hassle. A dish was forgotten, and the staff questioned my order. the wait for the food took almost two hours. the service felt far from the five-star experience i anticipated.

weak ac automatic lights

the hotel's location is quite convenient to the train station, made transportation easy. it is located just across the road.

my sleep was disrupted by the weak air conditioning system. even with the window open, the room felt warm and stuffy. additionally, the automatic lights in the bathroom were quite annoying, and tape had to be put over the sensors to prevent them from turning on every time i moved.

i got a room with two rooms, a suite. there was a superking bed inside. there was also a standalone bathtub. the bathroom had a rain shower and twin sinks. the views included leith street and the entrance to st james' quarter.

the checkin process is long after checking in online. i had to chase three staff for room keys.
