“Hotel Walter Au Lac, positioned right by the lake, blends historic charm with modern updates; I especially appreciate the complimentary local transport-a real perk. The rooftop terrace, complete with Jacuzzi, feels like a luxurious escape, while family suites offer space and privacy; note that the original wood floors can be a tad creaky, but hardly a deal-breaker.”

Lakeside stay

perfect location fantastic view excellent service

the location was perfect, right on the lake. the view from my room was fantastic. breakfast was very good , and the service was excellent. plenty of shops and restaurants were within a couple of minutes walk. a bus stop near the hotel allows quick access to destinations such as the main train station.

the bedroom and bathroom felt small and dated. both were in need of refurbishment. the bed was low and uncomfortable , and the fridge made noise during the night , so i unplugged it on the second night.

Facilities

9/10

the hotel includes dual rooms. there is also a rooftop terrace. it features wonderful views and has some chairs , along with a shower. towels are available there.

Dining

9/10

breakfast is served in a beautiful room. this room overlooks the lake. the breakfast offers a full range of choices. i could find many options for me.

Location

10/10

the hotel is in the heart of the city. it is directly on the lakefront. the hotel is near via nassa. this street includes many shops.

Service

9/10

the staff at the reception desk were very helpful. they provided directions. they also offered restaurant recommendations. the personnel was very kind.

The location was fantastic. It was very close to the lake. the service from the front desk was excellent. Laura provided great bus instructions. breakfast was also great. but the view was amazing!

my bedroom was very noisy. i could barely sleep. the air conditioning made annoying noises, even though it was switched off. it was located close to my head, so it was hard to ignore.
