Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is known for its superb views, especially from rooms overlooking the waterhole where guests regularly spot elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife. Many have enjoyed the comfortable and spacious rooms with powerful showers, as well as the refreshing pool and the Buffalo bar experience with its sunset views. While some guests have noted the absence of TVs in the rooms, the location's proximity to Victoria Falls, accessible via a short taxi ride, is a definite plus.

Really good Safari Experience

comfortable bed powerful pressure
I stayed at the lodge for several nights and was thoroughly impressed by the proximity to wildlife. i observed elephants, buffalo, and kudu directly from my balcony, it was a amazing sight! the bed was comfortable and i found the bathroom to be spacious. I especially liked the powerful water pressure in the large shower.
The stairs could pose a challenge. I noticed quite a few, and this might inconvenience guests with orthopedic issues. the presence of bugs is noticeable given its location within a safari park, one must be prepared for that. i found this a minor, yet real concern.
Dining
9/10
breakfast offered a great variety, it ranged from quick options to a menu selection. i especially appreciated the excellent pancakes. the bloody mary was a good, unexpected treat.
Facilities
9/10
The pool deck is notably great. It overlooks the waterhole, and the pool provided a nice way to cool off. i valued the complimentary shuttle service provided to the falls. It added to the convenience.
Rooms
10/10
the room included glass sliding doors, it opened onto a private balcony, and the view overlooked the bushveld. i appreciated the spaciousness of the room. a bar fridge was available, it came stocked with beer, wine, and soft drinks. the staff refilled it daily.
Service
10/10
The staff provided helpful and smiling faces at every turn. I found them to be excellent. restaurant and bar service staff were quite attentive and always available. i will note the professionalism of the customer service manager was really good. Her work stood out.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tour desk helped with excursions.
After checking out, I was told I owed zero. I was then paged in the airport after checking in and going through security. Someone unknown to me said I owed $200 cash before leaving the airport. It was quite a bad experience.
