the staff greeted me with a glass of champagne upon arrival (what a nice touch!). the room was spacious and cleaned perfectly daily. the location is ideal as it is close to everything, but also not in a busy area. they booked a couple of excursions for me and phoned for taxis when needed.

i wish the hotel had a larger safe in the room to accommodate a laptop (mine barely fit).

the rooftop pool was a big draw for me, but it was closed for repairs during my entire stay. no prior notice was given, quite disappointing. also, i found it hard to get a sunbed by the main pool unless i woke up ridiculously early (around 7 am, honestly!), not exactly my idea of a relaxing holiday. it was like tenerife is becoming like benidorm (and not in a good way).

i stayed at the hotel for several nights. breakfast and dinner offered much choice. chefs even offered to prepare custom requests. the rooftop cafe del mar was fine. it featured great food and beverages.

the rooftop pool was closed for urgent repairs. this was not communicated before arrival. the noise from the repair work disturbed relaxation one day. i went to the beach to avoid it.
