“This Dorset hideaway impressed me with its quiet rural setting and the thoughtful touches in its cabins; the absence of a television promotes tranquility, a welcome change. The cooked-to-order breakfast, especially that perfect egg, and the friendly staff made it feel like a true home away from home. A gem for those seeking peace and a convenient location for exploring local attractions.”

The Rivers Arms is often described as a cozy and welcoming retreat, particularly appreciated for its cabin accommodations and convenient location for exploring the countryside near Dorchester. Guests frequently enjoy the freshly made and tasty meals, including a great breakfast, and find the rooms clean and comfortable, some featuring a nice deck to relax on. While the absence of a TV in some rooms encourages connection, some guests have noted that the chalets can get quite hot during the day. Many also appreciate the free-roaming guinea pigs and proximity to local interest sites.
I felt at home immediately! The evening meal was freshly made and tasty. Staff were very friendly and approachable. The breakfast included all the choices you would expect, GREAT!!!
The chalet got VERY hot during the day. There was no fan in the bedroom. The Wi-Fi in the chalet was patchy, it often dropped out, a real shame.
