Restaurant 1865 provides a casual dining experience. The Princes Restaurant serves a buffet breakfast in an Edwardian-style setting overlooking the hotel gardens. Fine cuisine can also be savored here, with options for superb breakfasts, table d'hôte lunches, and à la carte dinners. Dukes Bar offers a menu with food and drink, prepared by a skilled team. The hotel bar also offers a grill menu throughout the day. Afternoon tea is available Monday to Saturday, 1pm - 4pm, and a children's afternoon tea option is also available. Local produce is used.

The Queens Hotel's garden hosts music events every Sunday and provides space for gatherings. Southsea Common, near the hotel, hosts events like the Victorious Festival and the Kite Festival. The hotel has versatile event spaces available for private hire. The Elizabeth Room can host weddings and includes a private bar, dance floor, and garden access. Hovertravel, which offers the fastest route to the Isle of Wight, is a 5-minute walk. The Wightlink Isle of Wight Car Ferry and Passenger Terminal is a 5-minute drive. A bus stop outside the hotel provides services to Gunwharf Quays and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
