Rooms with Amenities

The Old Palace Lodge has 85 bedrooms with a choice of doubles and twins, in Standard, Executive, Deluxe, and Honeymoon suite designs. Each room includes a bathroom. Executive bedrooms can accommodate children with a sofa bed, Z bed, or two Z beds. Rooms include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, DVD player, ironing facilities, and tea/coffee facilities. There are 1 disabled guest bedrooms. All rooms are non-smoking. Other room amenities include a sitting area, electric kettle, AM/FM alarm clock, and carpeted floor. Some rooms include free refreshments, mineral water, and a dressing gown.

Dining at The Lodge

The Henry Restaurant offers a varied menu, from à la carte to banquet options. The Old Palace bar has wood panelling and furnishings and provides a selection of ales, spirits, wines, and ciders. Guests can dine in the Tudor Walled Gardens or inside one of the pods. Traditional afternoon tea features English Tea, fruit scones with clotted cream, jam and butter, finger sandwiches, and a trio of cakes. Chef and the team offer BBQ. A finger buffet or restaurant lunch and a three-course evening meal are available. Room service is available 24 hours.

Leisure and Gardens

The Old Palace Lodge provides access to an onsite gym. The gardens feature soft stipa grasses, purple Nepeta, yellow Santolina, and Verbena bonariensis. Hydrangea 'Annabelle' displays white mop head flowers. Ornamental grasses add a modern feel. Guests can relax in the oak-framed gazebo or by the contemporary fire pit on the terrace. A zinc water feature and yew trees create a peaceful setting. Wedding ceremonies can host up to 115 guests. Two glass pods are available for private dining.
