the tv had limited channels. the breakfast quality was subpar. i found the porridge to be cold and lumpy (it was not enjoyable). the bread offered was basic, and only teabags and a coffee machine were available, so fresh coffee was not an option. my husband's cooked breakfast included bacon that was hard and not sufficiently hot.

The stables offered a large twin room. It included everything i needed. breakfast was tasty, with plenty of choice. friendly staff happily chatted. there were lots of little touches which spoke of quality.

the only very slight downside was being a bit out of the way for visiting the town.
