The 'unique' decor felt more like a cluttered antique shop than a cozy hotel. I noticed quite a bit of dust on the furniture, which wasn't ideal. Plus, the lack of an elevator made hauling luggage up the stairs a real workout. I'm still feeling it.

the location was good, it was close to the university.

The room lacked a tv, so i felt there weren't enough entertainment options in the room. also, i found the wooden floors to be quite noisy. I could hear every footstep from the room above, and it made it difficult to relax. the noise from other guests walking around was really disturbing during the night.

The hotel's proximity to the botanical gardens and several restaurants suited me. I enjoyed the walkable distance to the city center for daytime activities. The staff readily arranged my tours (all sorted in advance!) and offered immediate recommendations. I also liked the quick check-in, after a cup of tea, I felt at home.

The car park behind the hotel felt a little unkempt, I think it could use some attention.

The staff were very helpful and lovely to deal with. The provided guide includes excellent local information for bars and restaurants. The place has great character and well kept.

There was no speaker device or TV in the room. The room is built for a more relaxing, off-grid break. I missed having these entertainment options.
