The Crown Hotel offers excellent value for money and a great location, especially convenient for the festival and just a minute's walk from Weatherspoons. The spacious and clean rooms provide a comfortable base, and the downstairs pub is often praised for its friendly atmosphere. Guests enjoy the pub's amenities, like the pool and games room, as well as the multiple TVs showing sports; some have noted the occasional presence of smoke despite designated smoking areas. With cheap drinks and recent addition of food, the pub is lively.

The staff are helpful! I had some questions about the local area. They provided great recommendations. The pub downstairs had good drinks prices. The vibe was relaxed for sitting outside and people-watching.
The hotel looked good outside. Inside, the pub felt dark and needed some care. The stairs and hallways were very narrow. It was a maze to find my room!
