“I found this pub hotel charmingly traditional, a proper village center experience complete with its own brewery. The staff struck me as genuinely welcoming, which really elevates a stay. Simple comforts are done well, and a freshly prepared breakfast, not a buffet, is a civilized touch.”

The room was large, providing ample storage. I found many power points available for my devices. This detail mattered. The breakfast was efficient, served in a nice room. The food was mainly full English, with veggie options available.
The menu felt slightly overpriced for the portion size.

Atmospheric Stay with Great Beer

central locationseparate roomgreat sizetasteless food
The location was very central. The room we had was a great size for our group of four. I especially enjoyed that we had a separate room from the main building (ideal with our dog).
I found the evening food limited and rather tasteless. Breakfast was quite poor (poached eggs were solid). The coffee was unfortunately discolored water.
Rooms
9/10
The room included a comfortable sofa and a large four-poster bed. The room had a quiet atmosphere, which ensured restful nights. A separate building housed our room, providing extra privacy.
Location
8/10
The Inn provided parking at the hotel. The building is accessible all day for both drinks and food. It is located near local attractions (easy to reach by car).
Dining
8/10
The hotel has its own brewery on site. There are a wide choice of beers. Breakfast service started early.

the location was convenient enough for exploring the area.
The room size was a significant issue, especially considering the price i paid. it felt cramped and barely accommodated the bed and basic furnishings. the breakfast service was also unreliable. The chef's absence one morning disrupted my plans and left me inconvenienced.

Charming Stay with Local Brews

open locationposter bedvegetarian choicefilthy cushion
I enjoyed the location that was open all day for both drinks and food.. My room featured a sofa and a four poster bed. The beer tasted fantastic. I found the vegetarian breakfast was spot on and there was a good choice of vegetarian food on the menu.
The cleanliness of my room was not up to par. The cushions were quite filthy and the floor was not clean. Surfaces felt sticky and the muck underneath a cushion on a chair seemed like it had been there for months.. it was off-putting.
Dining
9/10
The hotel offers a range of ales brewed on site. I noted good turnover of food, which suggests efficiency and quality.
Location
9/10
The hotel has character and is in the heart of this area. It is near many local pubs after walking. This location provided easy access to local attractions. Safe parking was available for my motorcycle.
