The Coast to Coast route passes the front door, popular with cyclists and walkers. A track opposite the hotel leads to the water's edge and the ferry pick-up point. England's only true Mountain Forest offers views, walks, mountain biking, wildlife, and adventure play. Keswick Climbing Wall and Outdoor Adventure Centre offers outdoor adventure activities, indoor climbing, and indoor archery.
Location and Access
The Mary Mount Hotel is located on the shore of Derwentwater, 75 km from Carlisle Lake District Airport. It is near Derwent Island and House (3 km) and Lodore Falls (0.5 km). Cat Bells is 2 km away. The hotel is located near the village of Threlkeld, at the foot of Blencathra and Sharp Edge. The Derwentwater launch stops at the Lodore landing stage next to the hotel. The Coast to Coast route passes the front door of the Inn which remains a popular stop for thirsty cyclists and walkers.
