The Teesdale Hotel is often praised for its central location in the market place, providing easy access to attractions like High Force and the Pennine Way. Guests frequently enjoy the spacious and comfortable rooms, some featuring a bath, along with thoughtful touches like a high-quality selection of biscuits and teas. The restaurant is a highlight for many, particularly the half board option, although some guests have found certain dinner dishes to be underwhelming. The delicious English breakfast is very popular, too.

Really good Service and Food Quality

The chef prepared very high quality food at reasonable prices. We requested cereals to be left out for us at 6:30 am before our early departure. Janine provided cereals, fresh hot coffee, and toast for us and started work early (she was really amazing!). The staff was helpful and professional throughout our stay.
The shower had a warm flow, but it could have been stronger.

Wonderful Stay and Great Food

friendly staffexcellent breakfastconvenient locationhot water
The staff provided friendly service throughout my stay. The breakfast was excellent. I liked the dining room with tables that were well-spaced. The chef cooks a delicious English breakfast, and I appreciated the variety and quality of the meals. I had a restful stay because of the room's cleanliness. The central location in the market place was convenient.
The shower's water was too hot, even when adjusted to its lowest setting. After a long day of walking, a good shower is a must, so this was a small inconvenience.
