Some rooms on the east side offer sea views, and the front-of-house rooms overlook the castle battlements. Some rooms have a bath only and no shower; others include an en suite shower. One double room features a four-poster bed and a fireplace. Rooms 6 and 7 on the top floor share a shower room. No pets are allowed.

Landmarks nearby include Harbour View (0.5 km), Statue of Queen Victoria (1.5 km), and Scarborough Museums Trust (1 km). Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Filey, Castle Howard, Dalby Forest, Pickering, Helmsley and North York Moors National Park are within easy access.
