mixed experience
unhelpful staff morning complaint
the room was clean and close to what i needed.
the staff did not offer much help despite my attempts to get their attention. someone banged on the door outside to gain access at 1:30 this morning, this lasted over half an hour. i came down to complain in the morning but there were no staff to talk to or even check out with.

Super clean and Friendly
clean room well furnished room excellent food friendly staff
I found the hotel super clean, the rooms comfortable and well-furnished. The food in the bar was excellent. I found the locals friendly, and every person in the hotel so helpful. I look forward to my next visit. The location was ideal for my needs. Everything I needed was available, from an iron to a hairdryer. Breakfast was also great, as I could choose my own time.
The room was overly hot at night. This happened despite the heating being off.

Acceptable Stay with Noticeable Issues
staff intrusion sagging bed
The location suited my needs well enough I did not encounter any issues there.
The staff entered my room without proper notice I was on a call and found it a significant intrusion of privacy. The noise from the pub downstairs was quite noticeable especially since my stay was over a weekend. The bed also had a noticeable sag in the middle affecting sleep quality

clean, quiet and cute
stocked room decent size friendly staff
the room was very clean and well stocked. the room size was decent. all the staff were friendly. i loved that the hotel had a separate entrance to the pub.
the on site entertainment was a little noisy. however, i was still able to sleep well

great north run stay
friendly team spacious room comfy bed
the team was friendly and couldn't do enough for us. we had dinner at the hotel, they even put the women's rugby world cup on for us. the room was spacious plus the bath was a highlight i will rebook next time
there was no one available to speak to when we checked out except for a cleaner she told us to leave the key on the desk our room had an unplugged upright freezer inside
