“The Stromness Hotel, with its prime harbor-side location, captures the eye thanks to the building's Victorian architecture. While some areas show wear, the friendly staff and spacious rooms offer a comfortable stay near Orkney's attractions, and the on-site restaurant is focused on local seafood. For those seeking a central base with historical charm, this hotel certainly has its draws.”

Satisfied Guest Experience

I appreciated the helpful and cute staff, specifically Scott and Wendy. They offered wonderful local tips and recommendations. The room was very nice and neat with harbour views. Breakfast was great and provided me with a solid start to the day.
I found the hotel's dog policy to be somewhat inconvenient. I was charged £25 per dog, despite my dogs being small and non-shedding. I had to carry my bags and dog trolley up two flights of stairs to reach my room.
