The room was spacious with great views. I found local produce featured on the menu, simple and delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly. Common areas provided a homely atmosphere.
The single room I had was a bit small.

excessive salt bar seat
breakfast had a good choice and was nicely presented.
i booked a table for sunday lunch expecting a restaurant seat but i was seated in the bar. the nut roast did not come with gravy despite assurances, and roast potatoes were not actually roasted at all. the gravy tasted strongly of packet vegetable soup.. it was inedible due to excessive salt.

dismal food missing gravy
i had booked a table for sunday lunch. i expected a table in the restaurant but i was seated in the bar. the food was dismal. i asked when ordering the nut roast if it came with gravy. i was advised yes and i requested roast potatoes. no gravy arrived with my meal. roast potatoes did not arrive either. the lunch was very disappointing.
