just okay, sadly

back door poor dining
the staff were friendly enough so that was something.
i was directed to a back door with my luggage which wasn't ideal i then had to navigate through the building to find someone for check-in the experience was like an interruption to whatever she was doing on her phone the dining was also poor with one person managing the bar and restaurant while singing along to loud music.

the standard king room was clean the bed was large and comfortable i found plenty of wardrobe space the staff were helpful with directions. breakfast was freshly cooked it had multiple choices i appreciated the service quality during breakfast.
some areas showed signs of wear.

Acceptable Stay, Some Issues Observed

slow drainage tired building
The shower did not impress. It was small and felt a bit tight. The water drained slowly, , made it hard to rinse properly. The building also seemed tired. I think it could use some updates to feel fresher.

friendly staff big rooms good breakfast stained carpet inoperable windows inedible food
the staff were really friendly AND helpful. the rooms were big. breakfast WAS also really good.
the carpet in our room had stains ON it. the windows in the room wouldn't open properly. i ordered dinner and my husband ordered burger and chips both were barely edible.

friendly staff historic building interesting features carpet stains tired building creaky floorboards
The staff was friendly and explained everything I needed to know. Nothing seemed like too much trouble for them. The food was AMAZING!!! I also found the historic building to be quite fascinating with its interesting features.
The carpet in my room had some noticeable stains. I found the floorboards in the hotel to be QUITE creaky.
