Rooms and Suites
Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort offers 160 rooms and 22 suites, each featuring comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Rooms include double wardrobes, tea/coffee service, mini-fridges, large flat-screen TVs, and in-room safes. Superior Rooms, at 78 square meters, are located on the ground and first floors and were renovated in 2020. They include terraces with views of the property. Superior Deluxe Rooms, on the second and third floors, feature wall-to-wall sliding glass doors, providing garden, pool, and ocean views. Ocean Suites, measuring 98 square meters, are located at the front of the property and have terraces with tables and chairs for two, offering views of the ocean. The Royal Suite, at 300 square meters, features wraparound glass railings on the open terrace and floor-to-ceiling glass in the living room, plus a master bedroom with double showers, a double tub, double sinks, and a massage bed. Connecting Ocean Suites are available with two queen-size beds.
Cuisine from Local Produce
The resort features two restaurants. Spices offers international cuisine, pasta, pizza, Asian dishes, and seafood, with open-air seating and Swahili culture every Saturday night. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 10:00, lunch from 12:30 to 14:30, and dinner from 19:00 to 21:30. The Cliff is an a la carte restaurant overlooking Nungwi Beach, serving breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner. Fruits and vegetables arrive every other day from local sellers. The hotel also composts kitchen waste for use as fertilizer and sources spices from local markets and fish from local fishermen.
Recreation and Relaxation
Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort features four free-form swimming pools, a Jacuzzi, and a spa. The spa provides treatments using local spices and ingredients, including Swedish, coconut, aromatherapy, deep tissue, traditional Zanzibari, Ayurvedic, and hot stone massages. Other services include body scrubs, wraps, and facials like the Zanzibar Exotic Facial using fresh cucumber. Additional resort activities include water aerobics, water polo, table tennis, darts, beach volleyball, yoga, stretching, local village walks, and movie nights.

Located just outside Nungwi, the resort is 65 km from Kisauni Airport and offers a shuttle service. Landmarks nearby include Baobop (2 km), Nungwi Beach (2.5 km), and Spanish Dancer Divers (2 km). Local attractions include Stone Town, Spice Farms, Prison Island, Jozani Forest, and Cheetah's Rock. Guests can visit the Sea Turtle Conservation Pond and the Kizimkazi fishing village. The resort is located along Nungwi Beach.
