The Royal Highland Hotel features 86 rooms with traditional decor and antique furnishings. Room options include Cosy Single Rooms with one single bed and an en suite bathroom with a shower. Royal Rooms provide two Queen or one King-sized bed, an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower, a desk, a Freeview television, tea and coffee making facilities, a room safe, and an umbrella. All rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi, a hairdryer and access to ironing facilities. Some rooms have a sloping ceiling and limited storage space. Well-behaved dogs are allowed in rooms, with a maximum of two dogs per room, at £20.00 per pet, per night. Guide dogs stay free of charge.

The Royal Highland Hotel provides traditional and modern dining experiences. Ash is a lounge bar and restaurant, serving local ingredients and Scottish cuisine. The Art Gallery Café serves traditional Afternoon Tea, home-baked goods, cakes, pastries, freshly ground coffee, and loose-leaf teas. Breakfast is served from 7 AM to 10 AM on weekdays and from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM on weekends, featuring a buffet with hot and cold dishes, including Highland specialties such as haggis and black pudding. Guests can enjoy welcome cocktails on arrival.

The Royal Highland Hotel is a central base for touring the Highlands, near Culloden Moor and Loch Ness. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Inverness Airport. Public transport is available via a service bus to the Airport, departing from Falcon Square. The hotel is also close to Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, providing easy access to the North Coast 500 and Isle of Skye.
