Satisfactory Visit Overall

three course breakfastprofessional stafffresh cookieunclean bathroomshower designwarm room
The breakfast offered three courses served at the table. The staff were friendly and professional . I received fresh cookies, waters, teas, and hot chocolate in my room upon arrival.
My bathroom did not appear as clean as expected. The shower design allowed water to spread across the entire bathroom. The room felt excessively warm, and I needed to keep the patio door partially open.

the location is undeniably excellent. the village is quite pretty.
the bathroom cleanliness was substandard. the shower design causes water to flood the entire room (i found it quite inconvenient). also, the room was advertised as a king room, but contained only a double bed.

Decent hotel, some issues

fresh ingredientsattentive staffroad noiseexpensive parking
The breakfast was very good. Fresh ingredients were present and I had just what I needed. The staff were very attentive and friendly. It was a nice experience staying here for one night before travelling home. It was very close to the town of Bakewell too.
The rooms were far too hot. We had to sleep with the patio door ajar which meant we were kept awake with road noise. When we checked out, there was a deal advertised in reception! though the parking was expensive.

The room felt smaller than i expected for the price i paid. also, the bathroom lacked a separate shower. I only had access to a bath. i found the absence of a dedicated shower a real inconvenience. it, and i was frustrated by the setup. this negatively impacted my overall experience and the hotel should update the bathroom facilities.

The garden has mature trees. A wide driveway leads to a very attractive front. Gardens and out area is kept to a very high standard I noticed. Rooms has everything for a comfortable stay. My room, a ground floor, it had doors to the garden. The fresh cool air smelled of autumn.
The bathroom wasn't as clean than it should. The shower caused the room to flood. I think they should fix the shower. The room is a king room with just a double bed, I wish there was a king bed.
