Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests frequently highlight the hotel's fantastic central location, right opposite Imperial Park and Gardens and just a short walk from the town center, making it easy to explore restaurants and bars. The rooms are often described as spacious, with amenities like a mini-fridge stocked with soft drinks and tea and coffee making facilities being appreciated. Some guests have, however, found rooms overlooking the rear of the hotel less desirable due to kitchen vents. Many enjoy the Sunday roast in the light and airy dining room, and the presence of a gin and cocktail trailer bar in the gardens during the summer is a definite plus.

Really good Hotel Experience

helpful staff spacious hotel excellent location precise service
The staff were VERY helpful and friendly. The hotel was spacious, appointed well, and looked spacious. I found its location excellent. The breakfast service was precise. It was nice to see many happy faces at the beginning of the day.
The room was perhaps too hot. I mentioned this upon checkout and learned the hotel received similar comments about heating.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast service is well drilled. Each course from the evening menu was presented well. The dishes were cooked to perfection, I found the food to be great overall.
Location
10/10
The hotel is in a great position for accessing the town. Car parking was a bonus. I found the location very convenient. It's quite an accessible location for many things.

Underwhelming stay. Expected more

insufficient heating precooked bacon
The heating in my beautiful king room didn't work properly. i was told a small radiator was sufficient, but the room remained uncomfortably cold. also, the cooked breakfast was a letdown. the bacon and sausage were tough. They tasted precooked. it felt overpriced considering the quality.
