“The Queen Catherine has a great location for exploring the North York Moors; and while some may find the decor a bit much, the local ales and generous portions are definitely a draw. It's a spot with character, making it a solid base for walkers and their canine companions seeking a taste of Yorkshire hospitality; though I suggest confirming mask policies in advance to ensure a comfortable visit.”

Review summary

Guests often find themselves upgraded to surprisingly spacious accommodations, sometimes even a flat-like setup with a kitchen area, separate twin room, and a bathroom featuring a shower cubicle. The comfortable, warm beds are a consistent highlight, especially appreciated after exploring the Cleveland Way, easily accessible from this centrally located hotel in Osmotherley near the village cross. Some guests have mentioned that the room allocated didn't always match the room type booked.

dusty bed
I found that some personnel were unhelpful and quite rude. It was a disappointing contrast to the otherwise positive service. the room also wasn't very clean. There was dust and dirt beside the bed, i expected better hygiene .
