Dining at Oberforsthof
The Oberforsthof Culinary Experience includes Austrian cuisine prepared with organic food and regional raw materials. There are options for children, vegans, and guests with intolerances. A breakfast buffet is available from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cold and warm snacks are served from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (summer) or 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. (winter). A 5-course dinner is served from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a children's buffet available. Guests can enjoy free drinks from the juice bar until 9 p.m. in the summer. The wood-paneled 'Jagdstube' with antique tiled stove is a highlight.
Leisure and Wellness
Oberforsthof features the Pure Alp Spa with mountain views, an indoor pool heated all year round, and a large south-facing garden with a natural swimming pond. The sauna area is reserved for adult guests and includes a Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, and infrared cabin. Guests can select QMS or DR JOSEPH products and technologies. Activities include up to 760 kilometers of slopes, 270 modern lifts, ski tours, and winter hikes.
Location and Access
Hotel Oberforsthof is located 3.5 km from St. Johann im Pongau and 65 km from W. A. Mozart Airport. It is located directly on the slopes with ski-in & ski-out access. Ski Amadé, Austria's largest ski area, includes 5 ski regions and 270 lifts. The hotel provides access to the Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkönig, and Großarltal ski areas with a lift pass. Landmarks nearby include Salzachtal (2 km), Museum Tauernbahn (3 km), and Pongauer Dom (3 km).
