The Schatzarei restaurant features regional and seasonal cuisine prepared by Head Chef Maximilian Ruppert. The restaurant is focused on passion, local products, and creativity. The Tauernhof restaurant emphasizes variety and sustainability, sourcing ingredients from local forests, pastures, and rivers. Grossarl Alpine cheese and Alpine butter come from the Loosbühelalm run by the Rohrmoser family. Game and beef are sourced from Grossarltal; honey, cheese, and milk are delivered fresh daily from local farms; and baked goods come from the hotel's bakehouse or traditional Austrian bakeries. The Tauern Grill offers barbecue facilities during the summer. A gourmet buffet breakfast is available until 10:30, with freshly baked goods. There is also variety-packed menu to choose from in the evening, a fresh salad buffet every day, ice cream and fresh fruit at the buffet, gourmet cheese buffet, starters buffet once a week, and dessert buffet once a week.
Leisure & Wellness
The Tauernhof provides a leisure center and outdoor pool in the ' Valley of Alpine pastures'. Guests can relax in quiet areas, relaxation zones, and wellness and sauna facilities with panoramic views. Spa treatments include massages that promote blood circulation, loosen muscle tensions, and mobilize the body's self-healing mechanisms. The hotel features a heated outdoor infinity pool with a water temperature of 36.5° C, a heated outdoor whirlpool with a water temperature of 34.5° C, and a relaxation grotto surrounded by tropical greenery. There is also an experience bathing area with an Infinity Pool, indoor and outdoor pools, massage jets and a spa. The Tauernbad includes a Jet Stream facility (30°C), giant bubble pool (32°C) and outdoor swimming pool, complete with lounger area. A Tauern sauna with Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam bath and whirlpool is also available, as well as a relaxation area with loungers and open fire, and a juice bar in the pool area. Guests can train in the fitness room, and yoga and pilates sessions are offered.
Location and Surroundings
The Tauernhof is located in Grossarl, near Grossarler Bergbahnen (0.5 km) and Pfarrkirche Grossarl (0.5 km). Landmarks nearby include Fulseck (3.5 km), Furtschaglhaus (2 km), Arlspitze (4.5 km), Rad - und Gehweg Grossarltal (5 km), Spiegelsee am Fulseck (4.5 km), and Kreuzkogel (4 km). The hotel is 75 km from W. A. Mozart Airport. The hotel is near the Grossarl sports centre bus stop. In the middle of the terrain, there is a large pond that has seating and relaxation areas, along with a viewing tower. The speedy Panorama cable car takes you to the Grossarltal-Dorfgastein family ski area.
