adequate stay with some minor issues

friendly staffhelpful staffbreakfast menuperfect locationsmall roomovergrown fieldback building
the staff were very friendly and helpful . the breakfast menu allowed me to pick what i wanted and pay for it. this was better than an all-in price (i appreciate that!). the location was perfect for my trip.
the room we stayed in was small and generally uncomfortable. the advertised garden view was of an overgrown field. the room was at the back of the main building and not part of the hotel itself, disappointing.

Underwhelming Food and Service

convenient accessraw parsnipsdiabolical service
The hotel's location offers convenient access to nearby attractions.
I ordered the fish pie, and it was quite disappointing. The parsnips were raw. The fish tasted bland, with no discernible sauce, just milk. The server's response when I pointed this out was , 'I'll tell the kitchen,' with no apology, I found the service diabolical.
