The Morar Hotel provides various rooms. Classic Rooms offer single, twin, double, triple, and family options, equipped with toiletries, fluffy towels, tea/coffee facilities, and a TV. Superior Rooms, located in the Edwardian wing, feature views of the mountains. Seaview Rooms offer views of the Atlantic waters and the Silver Sands of Morar; modernized bathrooms include walk-in showers. All rooms include a private entrance, tea/coffee maker, flat-screen TV, and chocolate.
Silver Sands Restaurant
The Silver Sands Restaurant has views of the Morar River Estuary. It serves local and international dishes prepared with organic produce; seafood options are available, with fresh local catches from Mallaig. The bar, open from 1 PM to 10 PM, serves beer, beverages, snacks and has an extensive wine list. The restaurant is open to both hotel guests and locals.
Activities and Exploration
Guests can explore local trails, including the Silver Walk and Sgurrna h-Aide Trail. Mallaig Ferry Terminal has cruises to Knoydart Peninsula and the isles of Eigg, Rum, and Muck. The Morar Hotel is located in Morar, 3 miles from Mallaig and 40 minutes from Fort William. It is accessible via the A830 road. The Morar train station is located across from the hotel and served by trains from Glasgow and Fort William. The Jacobite Steam Train runs between Fort William and Mallaig during the summer months. Mallaig offers ferry connections to the Isle of Skye.
