Excellent stay near Silver Sands

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided useful information about local attractions. Breakfast offered a lovely view from the dining area. The location was excellent and watching the Jacobite train was a nice bonus. I appreciated early check-in assistance from the staff.. it was efficient. There was a nice feel to the hotel.

Our room showed some signs of wear. Old gloss paint dripped down on the walls, and there were stains from water damage.

The restaurant provided very good food and the portions were generous. The restaurant window gives one a view over to the Cuillins on Skye. The terrace offers great sunset views.

Acceptable Stay but Some Issues

The shower was not clean. There was mold on the shower head and grout. It was pretty gross and I had to spend time cleaning it myself before using it, so that was annoying! the noise level was high, especially early in the morning when staff were moving around. I could hear conversations clearly through the walls. The bar prices were extortionate. I'm not sure if I will visit again though.

I found the dinner especially tasty. I really enjoyed the service. The staff provided a warm and cute reception. I must also mention the fine sunsets experienced while dining on delicious food. The chef deserves high praise for this.

The hotel is centrally located between Arisaig and Mallaig. It is very near the railway link at only 50 metres from the front door. The hotel is in a fabulous spot for visiting nearby attractions and fine scenery.

My room was clean with a comfortable bed. Fresh bedlinen was of excellent quality. Heat in the room was totally your choice from cool to Caribbean. My upgraded sea view room was worth it.
