Maryculter House offers a beautiful and historic experience, especially appealing with its location on the River Dee and proximity to attractions like Crathes Castle and Drum Castle. Guests appreciate the comfortable rooms and modern bathrooms, along with details like fresh milk in the fridge and local bottled water. The autumn colors enhance the views, while the option to stroll through the nearby woods adds to the charm; though some guests have noted that the lighting in the car park could be better. Some have also experienced longer waiting times for breakfast.

dining table little privacy
The staff were helpful. Dog friendly policies are available. The location is great with walks for the dog right outside the patio doors.
I was disappointed to discover the 'seating area was a small dining table and two dining chairs. There was no couch or easy chairs. We were on the ground floor and forced to keep the curtains closed to get a little privacy from people looking in as they walked past.
