Rooms at Lydford House
Lydford House offers rooms named after local tors (hills). Most rooms have been refurbished with contemporary en-suites and hardwood furnishings. Options include seven doubles, one twin, two family triples, and a family suite with a double and adjoining twin. Rooms include tea and coffee facilities, LCD TVs, and hairdryers. Ground floor rooms are available. A Superior room accommodates three guests with a super king-size bed and a single bed. Some rooms offer views and en-suite bathrooms with a shower or bath. The rooms feature either a four-poster bed, king-size bed, or super-king bed. Wi-Fi is accessible in some rooms. One standard room can accommodate dogs for a GBP 13.50 fee. One of the rooms has steps down to the en-suite. Select ground-floor rooms feature tea and coffee making facilities, an LCD TV, and a modern bathroom. Some rooms can accommodate up to four adults, while others may have a day bed suitable for fewer adults. Some rooms have roll top bath but no over head shower.
Dining at Lydford House
Lydford House offers breakfast from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Monday to Saturday, and from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Sundays. Guests have the option of a continental buffet and a cooked menu. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten, and dairy-free options are available. For an additional charge, guests can enjoy a large homemade scone with strawberry jam and Rodda's clotted cream. Afternoon teas are served in the lounge bay window or dining room on three-tier stands with bone china crockery and include finger sandwiches, homemade scones, and cakes. Lydford House is currently not offering evening meals, however can arrange for large groups, weddings and events to be catered for. The dining room seats approximately 20 people.

Lydford House is located within Dartmoor National Park. The property is situated on 4 acres of gardens and pasture land in Lydford village. The River Lyd runs through Lydford Forest. Guests can walk through Lydford village, visit Lydford Castle Ruins, and visit the Church. Lydford Gorge is within walking distance. The hotel is near the Granite Way cycle path and Route 27. Exeter International Airport is 65 km away. The high-cliffed North Cornish coastline and the South Devon coast are under an hour's drive away.
