the staff showed amazing attentiveness. i really enjoyed the spacious room with a victorian bathroom. ivor, the concierge, offered excellent service. he brought us an ice bucket, champagne flutes, and strawberries without any prompting. andrew from the malt room opened it just for us, what a great surprise.

the hotel was very busy. the car park was full upon our return from an afternoon trip, causing some inconvenience.

my room was spacious, very clean, and well kept. the bathroom included premium toiletries. the provided amenities were comprehensive, and all features were in excellent working order, i had a great view too.

staff attentivenessbathroom smell

The attentiveness of the staff was a letdown. i had to repeatedly ask for breakfast items to be refilled, and even then, they only addressed one item at a time. it seemed like i was constantly chasing after someone just to get basic service. plus, the bathroom had a noticeable damp smell and could use a serious update. It's not what i expect.
